Epsom Campus

The Epsom Campus is the main campus for the Faculty of Education and Social Work with around 5,000 students.

There is parking on campus and regular bus services run to and from Mt Eden/Epsom and the city.

There are plenty of study spaces, computer rooms, student support services and facilities. The Sylvia Ashton-Warner Library at Epsom Campus is one of the most extensive teacher education libraries in New Zealand. The campus also has tennis courts, a swimming pool, sports centre, marae and early childhood centres.

Epsom Campus is 10 minutes’ drive from the CBD and the City Campus. It is located next to Mt Eden village, which offers a great range of shops, cafes and amenities.

Tai Tokerau Campus

The Faculty of Education and Social Work offers selected programmes and courses at Tai Tokerau Campus in Whangarei. This University of Auckland campus is within walking distance of the centre of Whangarei. It is a small campus of about 180 students and offers a friendly and supportive learning environment.

Manukau Campus

The University of Auckland at Manukau programme allows people living near this campus to gain a qualification from The University of Auckland while studying close to home. Students have access to a full range of amenities offered by the University of Auckland and Manukau Institute of Technology.

The University of Auckland's academic partnership with the Manukau Institute of Technology's Otara Campus in South Auckland was established in 1999. A full Bachelor of Education (Teaching) programme has been delivered from this campus since this time, and core courses in the Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary) programme and selected postgraduate courses are now able to be taken at this campus. The University of Auckland programmes and courses at Manukau are administered and taught by Faculty of Education and Social Work staff.

City Campus

The City Campus has a cosmopolitan setting and caters for more than 32,000 students university-wide.

For over 100 years, the University has had a presence on what is now the City Campus. Located in the heart of Auckland City, the campus is accessible to the cultural and commercial amenities of the country's largest city, while harbour views and nearby parks add to its attractiveness.

The City Campus provides a full range of amenities and student services, including cafés, health services, libraries, childcare facilities, and a recreation centre. Major bus and train transport routes service the University precinct. Historically significant buildings include Old Government House, the Clock Tower, and University House (once a synagogue).

Faculty of Education and Social Work Liberal Arts courses in the Bachelor of Arts are taught at the City Campus. Find out more about the Liberal Arts programme.
