Breaking the cycle with a slice of cake

The Faculty of Education’s first Annual Bake-off was held with money raised from entry fees and donations going to raise funds for a national helpline to help break the cycle for victims of domestic violence.  >>

New postgraduate qualifications in Professional Supervision

The Faculty of Education is offering two new qualifications at postgraduate level, commencing in Semester 2, 2008. The Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Supervision and the Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Supervision will help to fill the need for suitably qualified professionals across the fields of health, counselling and human services. >>

Matariki, a celebration of new beginnings

Every year, just before dawn in the winter sky Matariki rises low on the horizon, appearing in the tail of the Milky Way. For Māori the return of Matariki traditionally signified the arrival of winter and the start of a new year. It was also a time to remember those who had passed on, and a welcome opportunity for celebrating the harvest and new life. >>
