Ian Milne

Ian is a Senior Lecturer lecturing in primary science and mathematics teacher education programmes.
He became involved in pre-service teacher education at the Auckland College of Education (now Faculty of Education) after teaching in a range of Auckland primary and intermediate schools. In recent years Ian has worked on a number of Ministry of Education professional development contracts through Team Solutions.

Ian holds an Advanced Diploma of Teaching, a Masters of Education and a Diploma of Mathematics Education.
His research interests include
- Creative approaches to teaching and learning in primary science education
- Children’s science,
- The inter-relationship between the affective domain and children’s engagement in science.
