“After returning home from overseas I saw an advertisement that led to me working as a specialist youth worker. The role gave me the experience, grounding and belief that working with youth was my chosen career path. I’m now in a social worker role at the same organisation and am studying the BSW programme part-time.

“The lecturers are really understanding and supportive and I enjoy the smaller class sizes. It’s a great environment to be in. There’s a great diversity in age, culture and experience but we all get along well and there’s a real good energy and balance. I’ve made a lot of good friends and it definitely helps me knowing that there are other people in similar situations successfully balancing work, family and study.”
