Faculty of Education

Flexible and online learning

Welcome to students who have enrolled in Faculty of Education Flexible Learning programmes.

This section of the website provides you with the information and support you will need to get started with your studies. You can also find much of this information in the Student Guide: Flexible Learning Booklet that you receive with other course materials before your course starts.

Flexible and online learning offers opportunity to study in the comfort of one’s own home or workspace whilst still retaining employment. The advent of the internet and other computer related technologies has given a new impetus to flexible delivery education and the cyber classroom. Whilst the ‘tyranny of distance’ is lessened there is also less face to face contact with the lecturer. It is important to keep in contact with lecturers and support staff should any difficulties be encountered whilst studying. This section contains information about the systems and resources in place to support you while you are enrolled in a module delivered flexibly.
