Peer reviewed journal
The First Years, Ngā Tau Tuatahi is a double-blind refereed journal that publishes articles and research on infant-toddler education. In this process the submitted manuscript is sent to two reviewers. The reviewers’ comments are sent to the Editor, who makes a decision whether or not to offer to publish the manuscript (sometimes after revision). Reviewers' comments are summarised and sent to the author. The editor seeks further advice from the Editorial committee where necessary and makes the final decision regarding whether the article is accepted for publication.
