In School Support Services we offer quality professional development programmes and support for schools, educators, parents and students.
Team Solutions is an education unit providing professional development programmes for schools and educators. Our experienced facilitators work in partnership with schools to provide a wide range of in-depth professional development programmes and professional development consultancies. Kohia Education Centre at The University of Auckland Epsom Campus provides professional development courses and programmes for teachers, parents, teacher aides and students in early childhood centres, primary, intermediate and secondary schools. Kohia has a retail shop stocked with the latest educational texts and resources. Reading Recovery is a literacy intervention which provides individual instruction in reading and writing for children who are making slower than expected progress after one year of schooling.
The Faculty of Education Reading Recovery tutors in Auckland and Tai Tokerau provide initial training for teachers of reading recovery and ongoing professional development support for trained reading recovery teachers and schools throughout the region.
