Shelley Field

"I was working as an education support worker a couple of years ago, working with children under five with special needs. I realised I needed, and wanted, a degree behind me. Everybody I spoke to said this was the place to come for your teaching degree. The teachers are passionate about early childhood education and they share their own research and experiences with us. The practicums also give me the feeling that I’m a teacher rather than a student. Under-fives are incredible: everything is so new for them. You get swept away with their excitement at every new discovery."

Shelley Field is currently studying for a Bachelor of Education (Teaching) Early Childhood Education Specialisation. She is in her final year and aims to work in a public kindergarten next year. Her long-term goal is to be involved in special education for under-fives.
