"I decided to enrol in the Graduate Diploma in Education to upgrade my degree to a Q3+ status, qualify for a salary increase and a new position and to update my knowledge. There is so much new research and so many new ideas flowing in education. It was good to go to lectures and be updated with what's going on and mix with students in similar situations to me. It was very valuable to talk to others from schools throughout Auckland and find out what is happening in their schools.
Linda Reid completed a Graduate Diploma in Education in 2006. She is currently the Dean of the Junior School and Assistant Principal at Saint Kentigern.
