New Zealand is a liberal democracy with a population of 4 million people. Our lifestyle is informal and relaxed, with endless opportunity for leisure and outdoor activities. Our islands offer a varied landscape - ranging from sub-tropical beaches to stunning alpine wilderness. "Kiwis" are renowned for their friendliness and we are great travellers who are very interested in other cultures and countries.
Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city, with a population of more than one million living in the greater Auckland region. The central city overlooks the beautiful Waitemata harbour filled with yachts, so we are known as "the City of Sails". Auckland has a large immigrant population, particularly from Asia and the nearby Pacific Islands.
The Faculty of Education is situated in Epsom, a pleasant residential area, which is a short 10 minute drive from downtown Auckland. The Faculty also has a second smaller campus in Whangarei in sunny Northland, which offers the Bachelor of Education (Teaching) programme.
If you’d like to know more about becoming an international student at the Faculty of Education, we’ll be happy to provide information and advice.
