My teaching is centred around the area of Educational Technology and E-learning, the Information and Communication Technology in secondary schools and research methods with an emphasis on quantitative research. I have taught courses in ICT within the curriculum and in general educational issues
I have worked at a secondary school teacher in New Zealand and London before workiing for 5 years as a learning media specialist with the Inner London Education Authority.
In 1985 was appointed as a visiting lecturer, later lecturer and senior lecturer, in computer educational and educational media at the Secondary Teachers' College, Auckland, later the Auckland College of Education where I established and ran the Educational Computing Centre.
Subsequently I was appointed as Educational I.T. Adviser in the College working within the Information Technology Services and then as a foundation member of the Flexible Learning and Teaching Services (FLATS) which later became the Centre for Educational Design & Development (CEDD). I still hold a 0.5 appointment in CEDD.
