Research Interests (area & methodologies)

Critical pedagogy, ethnography, qualitiative methodologies, reconceptualising and decolonising research, philosophy of education, comparative education, teacher understandings of theory and practice.

I am concerned for a global response to the survival of humanity: I am involved with local support for international students in the AFS Intercultural Programmes and a range of environmental organisations: TOSSI (Tawharanui) ; The NZ Forest and Bird Society; the Waitakere Ranges Protection Society; ARC Volunteers programme.
