Teaching background
I have a background in teaching English and Media studies at secondary level and joined the former School of Education as a teacher educator when the University of Auckland entered teacher education in 1997. Working with pre-service teachers is an immensely rewarding and stimulating job and combines all the elements of the perfect job: teaching subjects I love, working with people who are excited about teaching and learning and researching subjects of personal interest.
