Bachelor of Education (Teaching)
Teaching Area/Interests:
In am currently teaching in EdPRAC, EDPROFST and EDCURRIC.
I am very interested in how students learn - particularly in the ways they apply (or don’t apply) learning strategies to become successful learners.
As Practicum Co-ordinator for the Tai Tokerau campus, I am also interested in Practicum and the factors which affect students’ success, the crucial role played by the Associate Teachers with whom they work and their contribution to the Practicum experience.

- Metacognition and the part it plays in student teacher study
- Practicum experiences for student teachers

- Diploma in Teaching (North Shore Teachers’ College)
Previous Professional Experience (prior to present position):
- Primary school teacher from 1973 - 1994 throughout New Zealand
- Primary teaching experience includes children from year 1 - 8
- Lecturing experience since 1994 includes lecturing in Social Studies, Language, Professional Inquiry, EDPRAC, EDPROFST.
