Other information, interests or things that drive you

Early childhood practicum is complex and the School of Teacher Education Practice is working to implement a greater degree of partnership and collaboration with the early childhood education community.

My MA thesis (in Childhood and Youth Studies) examined the experiences of gay mothers and their families in early childhood education in Aotearoa New Zealand. . I am interested in how teachers’ values influence their practice, particularly in relation to groups who are seen as ‘other’. I am also interested in the role of teacher education in social justice.
