Adrienne has long standing experience in education, having had a career in early childhood education and teacher education since the 1970s. Adrienne is currently a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Education where she teaches Dance and Drama in early childhood and primary teacher education.
Adrienne has a developing interest and involvement in cultural studies and research with teaching experience at undergraduate level in Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations (UNCG).
Having a strong interest in dance education, especially for young children, Adrienne is currently Research Officer on the executive and advisory board of Dance and the Child International (daCi).

- South Eastern American Studies (SEAS)
Academic interests for Adrienne include exploring the concept of social democracy, social justice, and social change through the arts, specifically through dance and drama as well as research and writing pertaining to the arts in education, critical theory, and cultural studies.
