Introduction
I have been involved in education in a professional capacity for more than 25 years. Ten of these years were spent teaching in New Zealand primary schools. I then moved into primary teacher education where I have been involved in module development, teaching and coordination in the areas of Social Studies education and Professional Inquiry. I have worked with first, second and third year student teachers enrolled in the Bachelor of Education (Teaching) degree - primary pathway and also graduate students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma of Education programme - primary pathway.
