Our aims
To promote and monitor research and scholarship in the Faculty and advise the Faculty on matters in this area. This includes :
- Promoting the research and scholarship profile of the Faculty in association with Heads of Schools.
- Facilitating engagement in national and international developments in research in education and the human sciences.
- Promoting opportunities for the staff to obtain support for enhancing their capabilities in research.
- Promoting opportunities for the staff to obtain support for research and scholarship.
- Supporting and overseeing strategically relevant research groupings within and associated with the Faculty.
- Drafting policy on research and scholarship as required by the Faculty.
- Promoting and supporting excellence in Maori educational research and developing Maori researcher capability and capacity within the Faculty.
- Promoting and supporting excellence in Pasifika educational research and developing Pasifika researcher capability and capacity within the Faculty.
- Promoting and supporting research collaboration across the University of Auckland.
