Expression of Interest (EOI) and the New Doctoral Admission/Registration Process, an on-line system that allows prospects who wish to present themselves for serious consideration, to provide the kind of information - educational background, achievements, research interests - that will best assist academic staff to assess them for possible candidature. |
The University of Auckland invites you to develop and submit your EOI online.
This process makes the submission of an Expression of Interest straightforward and provides you with a clear channel for enquiring about doctoral study and acquiring a supervisor.
The online EOI allows for inclusion of sufficient information to enable us to assess you as a potential doctoral candidate and subsequently advises you appropriately.
We suggest you carefully read the information on this website to assist you in your choice of Programme.
Before you start to develop your online EOI, you will need to have the following information to hand and some documents in electronic format ready for uploading:
- Your IELTS, TOEFL and TWE test scores if you have sat such tests within the last two years.
- Transcripts of your highest tertiary qualification
- Curriculum Vitae and/or Resume
- Portfolio (if applicable)
- Statement of Research Intent - Please write an outline of your proposed doctoral study (500 words maximum) including a working title, research aim(s), possible research question(s), reference to relevant literature and an indication of research methodology.
As the EOI is an on-line process, you will need to log in. If you are student or staff member of this University, log in using your NetID and password. If you are new to The University of Auckland, you will need to register with us first.
