2. Supervision:
Admission to the EdD is subject to the availability of suitably qualified supervisors. EdD candidates must have a main supervisor from the Faculty of Education and a co-supervisor or advisor. The supervisors have formative input, with the course team, during the first two years of the programme, and oversee the completion of the thesis. The EdD Programme Advisor can provide assistance in approaching possible supervisors.
3. Academic advice:
All prospective candidates should contact Dr Vicki Carpenter (v.carpenter@auckland.ac.nz) EdD Programme Leader, to discuss their qualifications, relevant professional experience, and proposed research programme. An interview with the EdD Programme Leader is a requirement for admission to the programme.
For general information, contact Leigh Beever (l.beever@auckland.ac.nz). The best initial contact is via e-mail.
4. E-mail and Internet access:
All students entering the programme are required to have access to the Internet and to make regular use of e-mail. Advanced library research skills are also required. (Courses are available.)
