The air of excitement was palpable as more than 100 members of Team Solutions gathered late last year at the Faculty of education’s Kohia Teachers Centre.
They were there to celebrate the new look and feel of Team Solutions, the faculty’s professional development provider.
An integral part of the Faculty, Team Solutions provides quality professional development to support teachers and leaders in Auckland and northland schools. Its facilitators partner with schools to provide a range of in-depth programmes tailored to meet schools’ needs.
Team Solutions’ commitment to excellence is reflected in the redesign, which has been led by Ann Moore. Ann undertook the project while studying for the Postgraduate diploma in Business (Marketing) at the graduate School of Enterprise as a result of her general Staff Scholarship.
The refreshed image was developed after extensive consultation with Camilla Highfield, Director of School Support Services, as well as Team Solutions and University staff, and school leaders. A blue and gold logo now aligns Team Solutions to the Faculty of Education and the University as a whole; and a new whakatauki has been developed, te kāhui akoranga ngaio, which encapsulates the ethos of people working cooperatively with schools to develop positive educational outcomes for young people.
While there is much excitement about the makeover - which includes new resources for Team Solutions facilitators - there is also an acknowledgement of the past work and achievements on which today’s organisation is founded. As she unveiled the redesign to the expectant audience, Ann Moore paid tribute to those who have helped establish the strong reputation Team Solutions enjoys.
"Team Solutions has been built over many years and is known and respected around the region. While it is time to say haere rā to the old identity, we must acknowledge the people and the work that have come before us," said Ann. "As in the past, Team Solutions will be judged today and in the future not by our image but by the actions we deliver and the promises we make. As always, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of service possible, to the faculty, the University, the Ministry of Education, and most importantly, to our partner schools."
