The Faculty of Education congratulates the individuals and community groups who recently received a University of Auckland Equal Opportunities Award. The project for which they have been honoured aims to create equal opportunities for Pasifika peoples to participate in and succeed at the University of Auckland through the establishment of the Pasifika Early Childhood specialisations for the Dip Tchg (ECE) and BEd (Tchg).
The recipients of the award are: Dr Airini (Associate Dean, Equity), Dr Graeme Aitken (Associate Dean, Academic), Lexi Grudnoff (Head of Programme, Teacher Education), Afamasaga Telesia Alipia, Vaitulu Pua (lecturer), all Faculty staff members, and Fata Koeoseta To’o (Chairperson of the Pacific Islands Early Childhood Professional Association)
