Research Committee

 

Terms of Reference :

  • To promote and monitor research and scholarship in the Faculty and advise the Faculty on matters in this area. This includes :

    • Promoting the research and scholarship profile of the Faculty in association with Heads of Schools;
    • Facilitating engagement in national and international developments in research in education and the human sciences;
    • Promoting opportunities for the staff to obtain support for enhancing their capabilities in research;
    • Promoting opportunities for the staff to obtain support for research and scholarship;
    • Supporting and overseeing strategically relevant research groupings within and associated with the Faculty;
    • Drafting policy on research and scholarship as required by the Faculty.
    • Promoting and supporting excellence in Maori educational research and developing Maori researcher capability and capacity within the Faculty.
    • Promoting and supporting excellence in Pasifika educational research and developing Pasifika researcher capability and capacity within the Faculty.
    • Promoting and supporting research collaboration across the University of Auckland.
