Postgraduate Committee

 

Terms of Reference :

  • To ensure that the Faculty complies with University policies and regulations as they apply to graduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • To monitor, and promote, graduate and postgraduate studies in the Faculty.
  • To ensure graduate and postgraduate studies in the Faculty contribute to Faculty and University strategic objectives.
  • To make recommendations on regulation changes.
  • To make recommendations for annual awards of graduate and postgraduate scholarships.
  • To advise the Dean on academic planning and resource needs for graduate studies.
  • To receive reports of working groups set up by the Postgraduate Committee to accomplish specific tasks relating to graduate and postgraduate programmes.

The Faculty Postgraduate Committee may co-opt members to assist in its deliberations as necessary.


Frequency of meetings : Monthly
Quorum : 50% attendance
Alternate : Yes but limited to two meetings
