International Committee

 

Terms of Reference :

  • To develop and implement an International Strategic Plan for the Faculty and to monitor it once it is in place.
  • To assist in developing information and systems for providing support for international students and professional groups who study and work within the Faculty.
  • To assist in the development of programmes that will be of interest and value to international groups.
  • To develop and foster relationships with key agencies, groups and institutions that can further the academic, professional and financial aims of international collaborations.
  • To monitor and report on international student enrolments in the Faculty.
  • To advise the Dean about the implementation of the service agreement with the International Office.
  • To support the aims and objectives of the University of Auckland’s Strategic Plan and its International Strategic Plan.



Membership :

  • Chair : Associate Dean International

  • Two academic staff members representing schools elected by the Faculty for a term of two years
    • Te Rongopai Morehu
    • Joanne Walker

  • One representative from Foundation Programmes
    • Mark Kilpatrick

  • One representative from Liberal Arts Programmes
    • Dr Richard Hamilton

  • One representation from Postgraduate Studies
    • Dr Libby Limbrick

  • One representative from Counselling, Social Work and Human Services
    • Dr Sue Hanna

  • One representative from Teacher Education
    • Jeanne Sheehan

  • One external member (preferably a member of the University International Committee)
    • Dr Chris Tremewan

The Faculty International Committee may co-opt members to assist in its deliberations as necessary.

Frequency of meetings : Quarterly
Quorum : 50% attendance
Alternate : Yes but limited to two meetings
