Academic Programmes and Regulations Committee

 

Terms of Reference :

  • To approve Faculty academic regulations consistent with university policies, guidelines and regulations.
  • To review and make recommendations to the Academic Programmes Sub-Committee of Senate through the Faculty Meeting on all new proposals for new academic programmes, new academic qualifications and major changes to existing programmes and qualifications.
  • To review and make recommendations to Academic Programmes Sub-Committee of Senate through the Faculty Meeting on proposed minor changes to academic programmes and courses.
  • To monitor the introduction of new courses.
  • To oversee CUAP and university review processes related to academic programmes and qualifications.

    • Dr Gregor Lomas, Sciences, Mathematics and Technology
    • Dr Lexie Grudnoff, Teacher Education Practice (representing both School and Programmes)
    • Dr Frances Langdon, Teaching, Learning and Development
    • Hemi Dale/Dr Colleen McMurchy, Te Puna Wananga

  • Associate Dean Postgraduate

The Faculty Academic Programmes Committee may co-opt members to assist in its deliberations as necessary.

Frequency of meetings : Monthly
Quorum : 50% attendance
Alternate : Yes but limited to two meetings except in the case of Heads of School where an official Deputy Head has been designated the two meeting restriction will not apply
