Biography

Gillian Frankcom is a Lecturer in the School of Curriculum and Pedagogy, Faculty of Education.

Gillian was a classroom teacher for 20 years in both London and Auckland. Her special interest areas are: investigative learning and the role of problem solving in acquiring a relational understanding in mathematics; Maths Anxiety and its causes. She is co-author of the textbook Mathematics for the New Zealand Curriculum for Year 10 and has published a student workbook for level 1 NCEA, the first in a series.
