Postgraduate Certificate in Education

This is an exciting opportunity to enter into postgraduate study. Completion of just two courses (60 points) will see you gaining your first postgraduate qualification.

It allows you to focus on an area of interest and advance your knowledge and practice. It is also a pathway into further postgraduate study, including a masters degree (if you already have a bachelors degree) or a postgraduate diploma in education.

You can start the PGCertEd if you have a relevant bachelors degree, teaching diploma, or other industry qualification and teaching experience.

Master of Education (180 points)

“I decided to enrol in the Master of Education (180-point) programme because the new fast-track option, where I can go straight from a bachelors degree, was really appealing.” (click the image to read Claire's story.)

Now you can fast track to a masters degree in Education with the University's MEd180 - a masters degree that can be studied straight from a bachelors degree qualification.

This masters programme enables you to combine coursework with a research thesis. It builds on from a bachelors degree, Graduate Diploma in Teaching or Postgraduate Certificate in Education. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills and expertise in an educational area of interest to you and to conduct your own research on a focused topic.
