Events and collaboration

CRUAT is committed to supporting communities of practice and regularly partners with other organisations to provide workshops, projects and events.

Creativity in Corrections

CRUAT works in partnership with Arts Access Aotearoa to organise and host forum events for staff, volunteers and others using creative processes, including the arts, within Corrections settings. These events typically include practical workshops, discussion and presentations. CRUAT helped establish the University of Auckland Shakespeare Behind Bars Project  in Nga Wha Prison in Northland.

Re-storying Disability

These events aim to bring together artists, researchers, students and other practitioners who have an interest or involvement in disability arts and inclusive arts practice.

An academic reflection on the first Re-storying Disability event in 2014 is available to download on the Drama New Zealand website. Mullen, M. and Wills, R. (2016).
