Doctoral research opportunity: Early oral languages learning and development

The Marie Clay Research Centre in the Faculty of Education and Social Work has a doctoral research opportunity for an outstanding new, full-time applicant in the area of early oral languages research.

An ideal research focus would be on families with young children (birth - 3 years) with preference given to applicants who understand language/s and learning with Māori and Pasifika families. The individual should have practical field and research experience and be seeking an academic career or other professional leadership position. Knowledge, experience, and commitment to cultural and linguistic diversity are essential. The successful applicant will engage with Talking Matters, a cross-sector, Auckland-based collaboration to ensure that every child flourishes as a thinker, talker, reader and writer.

A doctoral scholarship could be available for the right candidate.
