Are you ready to take your professional journey in a new direction?

Whether your prior study is in Arts, Business, Science or any other discipline, our graduate and postgraduate qualifications can open up new career options for you.

This information session will introduce you to programmes at graduate level to begin a career in Teaching, Social Work, Counselling or Social and Community Leadership.

Come and find out how you can make the move into a new and rewarding career - where you can make a positive difference every single day.

This event is a must attend for anyone with a bachelors degree (or soon to complete their degree) who is considering broadening their career options through study to become:

  • A teacher (choose from secondary, primary or early childhood education)
  • A social worker
  • A counsellor
  • A leader for innovation and change in the social sector

Come and talk to us about what truly interests you and what’s involved to make the move into these professions. Hear from recent graduates about their experiences and speak with programme leaders and student advisers about your study options at graduate level and higher.

The sessions covered at this event are:

I’D LIKE TO BECOME A TEACHER

Find out how you can add a one-year qualification to your existing bachelors degree to become a teacher.

I’M INTERESTED IN BECOMING A SOCIAL WORKER

If you have studied social sciences, sociology, psychology, health science, human services or something similar in your bachelors degree then you can consider making the move into the social work profession.

I’D LIKE TO MOVE INTO COUNSELLING

If you have a professional qualification - such as a teaching, social work, counselling or nursing qualification - and work experience, you can think about a postgraduate qualification and career in Counselling.

I WANT TO INFLUENCE AND LEAD CHANGE IN THE SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY SECTORS

Social and Community Leadership is a new qualification where you can build leadership capabilities to effect change for good in the social and community sectors. If your current qualification includes study in social science subjects, or in other related areas with work experience, you can make the move to taking a lead role in the development and evaluation of innovative solutions to complex social and community issues.
