Congratulations to all our students graduating from the University of Auckland at this year's Spring Graduation Ceremony. Enjoy an afternoon celebrating this significant milestone with staff, friends and family.

The day consists of three components. First, is a procession down Queen Street, the second is a ceremony to celebrate with your teachers and classmates at the Alumni Pavilion, and third is the graduation ceremony in the Aotea Centre. These are three separate events and you must RSVP separately to the celebration and ceremony. You do not need to RSVP to the procession.

Graduation Procession


Graduation day starts with the official Graduation Procession at 9.30 am from the Alumni Marquee at Old government house grounds. Students who wish to take part in the procession do not need to register, but will sent information from the graduation office closer to the date. More information can be found here.

Graduation Celebration

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Alumni Marquee, Old government house grounds  

Staff and students are invited to a celebration with the Dean of Education and Social Work, your teachers and your classmates at the Alumni Pavilion before the graduation ceremony. Join us to toast your achievements and celebrate this significant occasion. This is a free event however tickets are required for yourself and up to three guests.

Graduation Ceremony


Aotea Centre

Following the Graduation Celbration you will make your own way down to the Aotea Centre where you can attend attend a formal graduation ceremony. Although this is a free event, tickets are also required - you must RSVP by 9 August 2017. For all the details on how to apply to graduate and what to wear, see here.
