Information literacy, inquiry learning development, Integration of ICT into teaching and learning.
EdD topic: investigating the development of a knowledge society in NZ and the role of information literacy

MEd (Hons), BA, DipTchng, DipTL.


Current research

Elizabeth is currently investigating the development of information literate students, involving staff and students in a cluster of Auckland schools. This research will form the basis of her EdD thesis.

Biography

Elizabeth Probert is a trained teacher librarian who taught at a large Auckland co-educational secondary school before taking up her present position at the Faculty of Education.

Elizabeth, winner of a Multiserve Service to Education Gold medal for her school website project, was awarded one of the first three year Ministry of Education ICT Strategy contracts to provide ICT PD to a cluster of six Auckland schools 1999-2001. She was president of the School Library Association of New Zealand Aotearoa (SLANZA) 2003-2005

Elizabeth recently presented a research paper at the International Association of School Librarianship conference in Lisbon and is a presenter at the Ministry of Education Ulearn conference in Christchurch in September.
